Avatar in concert at the Zénith de Paris in 2026: what are the opening acts?

Swedish band Avatar are planning a European tour to support their new opus live at the Zénith in Paris on March 7, 2026. But before the Scandinavian combo get their groove on, Parisian audiences will be able to warm up with two opening acts. So, who are they? Who will open the festivities for Avatar in Paris? We answer.

After opening forIron Maiden at the Paris La Défense Arena last July, Avatar is preparing to hit the road again on its next tour, in honor of its new opus,"Don't Go In Th Forest", due for release on October 31 2025.

Next spring, the Swedish band will be playing over 30 shows across Europe. In France, two concerts have been announced: on March 2 in Lyon and on March 7, 2026 at the Zénith de La Villette.

But before the joyous combo hits the stage of the Zénith in Paris, audiences will be treated to not one, but two opening acts! Live Nation France announced this on its social networks on September 2.

So, who will have the honor of opening for Avatar on March 2 and 7? And who's in charge of gradually raising the temperature? The first of them is Alien Weaponry! Some of you have already discovered this excellent New Zealand band opening for Gojira in February 2023, at Hellfest in 2024 or at Petit Bain in Paris in July 2024.

Hailing from Auckland, the band consists of drummer Henry de Jong, guitarist Lewis de Jong and bassist Tūranga Morgan-Edmonds. What makes them special? Their powerful songs, some of which are written and performed in the Maori language. Now with three albums to their credit, including"Te rā" released in 2025, Alien Weaponry are sure to delight your ears with their blend of groove metal and thrash metal, as well as their boundless, ultra-communicative energy.

Another band announced to supportAvatar next spring in Lyon and Paris? Witch Club Satan. Programmed on the Temple stage last summer at Hellfest, this 100% female Norwegian black metal band consists of Johanna Holt Kleive (drums), Victoria F. S. Røising (bass) and Nikoline Spjelkavik(guitar). Together, they offer an avant-garde sound. But it's live that the trio takes us by surprise, with its ultra-worked visual universe and ritualized experience.

Today, the Norwegian witches seem to intrigue a large number of curious onlookers. Already scheduled to perform at Motocultor 2026, Witch Club Satan will be unveiling their black metal in Lyon and Paris next March.
