"I Love U So," "Toop Toop," "Cassius 1999," "Action," "The Sound of Violence," and "Go Up"... all these hits are by Cassius, the legendary French electro duo formed in 1988 by Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, better known by their stage namesZdar andBoombass. Since Zdar's tragic death on June 19, 2019, in Paris, the Cassius project has been carried on by Boombass.
On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Boombass will once again bring the magic of Cassius to life during a unique, unmissable concert atthe Olympia in Paris. This will be an opportunity for the electro artist, a true major figure of the French Touch, to look back on more than twenty years of creativity and audacity.
Cassius released their first album in 1999. Proof of its success, the album was nominated for a Victoires de la Musique award in 2000. In September 2002, the duo released "Au rêve," their second studio album, which featured numerous guests, including Jocelyn Brown, Ghostface Killah, and -M-. Four years later, the duo achieved recognition with the release of "15 Again," their third album. Marking a shift towards pop-rock, the album once again featured some wonderful collaborations, notably with Étienne de Crécy, -M-, Pharrell Williams, Sébastien Tellier, and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. This was followed by the albums "Ibifornia" in 2016 and "Dreems," their latest album, released two days after the death of Philippe Zdar.
On April 22, 2026, Boombass will bring Cassius' legendary tracks back to life atthe Olympiain Paris, performing cult classics and new productions alike. It promises to be a particularly danceable and moving concert.
