It’s worth noting that Kim Gordon was a prominent figure in Sonic Youth. This influential band, a flagship of the New York scene, left a lasting mark on the late 1980s and 1990s with their unique blend of experimental rock, noise rock, and post-punk. In 2011, after three decades together, Sonic Youth disbanded following the split of the band’s iconic pair, Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore.
Since then, each member has been pursuing their own individual projects. Following her debut solo album, "No Home Record", released in 2019, and her latest, "The Collective", which came out in March 2024, Kim Gordon is set to return on March 13, 2026, with "PLAY ME", her third solo record. The album preserves her signature musical style while expanding her sonic range to include more melodic beats, as showcased by the single "NOT TODAY".
Following a set at the Bois de Vincennes during the 2024 We Love Green festival, and a performance at Élysée Montmartre on October 23, 2024, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the festival Les Femmes s’en mêlent, pioneering post-punk artist Kim Gordon is now announcing her return to Paris. This time, she’ll be performing at the Trianon for a one-night-only concert on April 17, 2026—an event music lovers won’t want to miss.
