Every year, Hellfest draws thousands of metalheads to Clisson. Fans flock to experience the thrill of live performances from talented bands and artists scheduled across one of the six dedicated stages. Beyond its stellar lineup, Hellfest is renowned for its unique atmosphere and striking stage setups. The festival, focused on extreme music genres, consistently aims to surprise its audience with new features each year. In 2022, for instance, a new statue was unveiled in front of the Warzone stage, honoring Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. Created by artist and sculptor Caroline Brisset, this impressive metal sculpture reaches 12 meters in height.
This summer, another legendary figure of metal will be honored with a statue at the festival site. It is none other than Ozzy Osbourne! The iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, known as 'The Prince of Darkness', passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. Since then, tributes have poured in from the music world, including heartfelt moments at the Grammy Awards and Brit Awards.
This summer, Hellfest will honor the memory of Ozzy Osbourne with the unveiling of a massive statue portraying him. The sculpture, which will reach a height of six meters, is set to be unveiled on June 18th. Sharon Osbourne announced the news during MIDEM, held early February in Cannes. “The statue will be unveiled at Hellfest on June 18th. The whole family will be there to see it. It’s a beautiful tribute. It’s incredible. I can only thank Ben Barbaud, the director of Hellfest,”” shared Ozzy Osbourne’s widow and former manager.
For now, Hellfest has yet to make an official announcement on this matter. However, according to L’Hebdo de Sèvre & Maine, a new giant statue dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne will be cast in bronze. Crafted by the artist Philippe Pasqua, it is expected to be installed at the festival entrance, on the plaza of Hellcity.
It’s worth noting that Hellfest has hosted Ozzy Osbourne multiple times, both solo and with Black Sabbath. His most recent appearance at Clisson was in 2016.
This year, Hellfest will take place from June 18 to 21, 2026, promising an impressive lineup including Iron Maiden, Bring Me The Horizon, Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Deep Purple, Sabaton, Volbeat, Bad Omens, Papa Roach, Architects, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, as well as Behemoth, Ultra Vomit, and Igorrr.
