Paris, June 17, 2026 – The prestigious Philharmonic Society’s Orange County Youth Symphony (OCYS) will perform in Paris for a concert exceptional on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the iconic setting of the Salle Gaveau.
Made up of some of Southern California’s most talented young musicians, this internationally acclaimed American symphony orchestra will deliver a powerful, immersive musical experience to Paris audiences, fueled by the richness of the grand European orchestral repertoire and the dynamism of a new generation of international players.
In the renowned acoustics of Salle Gaveau, this concert promises a memorable evening of music, blending emotion, virtuosity, and orchestral intensity in one of Paris’s most iconic classical venues.
Conducted by Johannes Müller Stosch, the Orange County Youth Symphony will present a program featuring Beethoven, Debussy, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Korngold, and Rimsky-Korsakov.
Audiences will discover a repertoire of remarkable musical richness, weaving together orchestral power, impressionistic colors, and sweeping symphonic fervor. Among the program's highlights is the spectacular Russian Easter Overture by Rimsky-Korsakov, a bright and expressive piece inspired by the Russian musical tradition.

Founded in 1970, the Orange County Youth Symphony ranks among the United States’ most prestigious youth-ensemble programs. For more than five decades, the ensemble has embodied American musical excellence on the world stage, with tours across Europe and Asia.
The orchestra has performed alongside internationally renowned artists and institutions, and has collaborated with musicians such as Ray Chen, Midori, Hilary Hahn or Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
