A musical break in the middle of the day: that’s the idea behind the Tuesday Impromptus, La Seine Musicale’s concert series. The program brings together young performers and guest ensembles in formats that let audiences discover a program of live music without devoting an entire evening to an outing.
The season also features Beethoven à sept, performed by Insula camerata, Insula orchestra’s professional integration academy. Seven instrumentalists perform Beethoven’s Septet in E-flat major for strings and winds, Op. 20. Clarinet, bassoon and horn join violin, viola, cello and double bass—a way of exploring chamber music through an ensemble in which each instrument has a distinct role.
The upcoming concerts showcase young talents from the Bartók cohort, followed by the Appassionato orchestra and the Everyone Is Called Clara program. The series offers the chance to return throughout the season to hear different performers and repertoires.
The concert devoted to Beethoven can also be followed by a chance to discover Pierre, a sculpture by Abraham Poincheval, with the Pavillon des projets. The event brings together music and a chance to view a work installed in Gauthier Mougin Park, in the Île Seguin district.
