Dreaded by some, acclaimed by others, the month of September is often a time of new arrivals. As some exhibitions come to an end, others begin. September also marks the return of many running races and a long series of outings of all kinds and good deals.
But September is also a month rich in concerts and music. Some festivals, such as the unmissable Fête de l'Humanité, make their presence felt. Many artists also make a stopover in Paris, to play their songs in one of the capital's many concert halls.
Paris is fortunate to be home to a number of concert and performance venues. There's the Stade de France, of course, which in recent years has played host to a host of national and international stars. There's also the Paris La Défense Arena, located in the Hauts-de-Seine department, and theAccor Arena, nestling in the east of the capital. And let's not forget the Zenith de Paris,Olympia, Philharmonie, Salle Pleyel, Trianon, Folies Bergère, Grand Rex andÉlysée Montmartre.
Conversely, other venues are favored for their intimacy. These include La Maroquinerie, La Cigale, Le Trabendo, La Gaîté Lyrique, La Boule Noire, Petit Bain and Cabaret Sauvage.
