The summer season is eagerly awaited by many music lovers. At this time of year, Parisians love to bask in the sun on terraces, in parks and gardens or on the quayside. Others prefer to take advantage of the month of July to fill up on live music thanks to festivals organized all over Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
Festival season may have been underway for a few weeks now in France, but there are still plenty of musical events to satisfy the ears of lovers of classical music, R&B, pop, rap, jazz and electro.
The proof is in the Lollapalooza. Held for several summers now on the lawn of the Hippodrome de Paris-Longchamp, Lolla - for those in the know - has rapidly become a must-attend summer music event in Paris. Since its inception, the music festival has welcomed a host of major stars, including Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Rey, DJ Snake, Depeche Mode, Travis Scott, Diplo, Twenty One Pilots, The Strokes, Bad Bunny and Ben Harper.
Other music festivals that put a smile on the faces of Parisians every July include Paris Jazz Festival, Classique au Vert and Yardland, dedicated to lovers of popular culture, and Do You Remember. Scheduled in the Val-d'Oise, this musical event celebrates the music of the 90's and 2000's!
