This summer, the Jardin d'Acclimatation is transformed into a huge open-air stage. From June 11 to July 29, 20 free concerts will be given by more than 1,500 young musicians and choristers from all over the world. All concerts take place at 3:30 p.m., in front of the Café à Vapeur, with free admission. Please note, however, that while the concerts are free of charge, admission to the park is €7 per person, and free for children under 80 cm.
This is the second edition of"L'Amérique en musique" at Le Jardin. The Ambassadors of Music, orchestras of young Americans selected from the states of Nebraska, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, South Dakota, North Carolina, Iowa, Utah and Wisconsin, cross the Atlantic to showcase their talents. They perform jazz, film and brass band tunes in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
This year, the program is also open to other nationalities. Audiences will also be able to discover the Berkshire Juniors, four British groups with their jazz, rock and harmony ensembles, who have already performed at the Royal Albert Hall. On the French side, there's the Picardy brass band La Vaillante, known for its choreographed uniform parades, and the Chœur à l'Horizon, directed by Nima Santonja, chorus master at Théâtre Mogador, with a repertoire inspired by the great musicals of the 20th century.
Before or after the concerts, summer continues in the alleys of the Jardin. You can enjoy a picnic in the shade, stop for an ice cream near the Grande Volière or discover the park's 42 attractions, open every day. Families can try out the brand-new Le Défi du Dragon roller coaster, inaugurated in spring 2025, or take a cool break at the Grande Pataugeoire.
The Jardin d'Acclimatation is easily accessible by metro line 1 (Les Sablons station). The event is free and open to all. A great idea for a day out, on your own, with family or friends.
