The Centquatre (104) hosts a day full of dance in partnership with the Musée de la danse and its director, Boris Charmatz. On Sunday October 1, 2017, come from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. for ten hours of dance in free access.

Amateur dancers know it well: they are welcomed under the Centquatre glass roof. They can practice for free in these wide spaces. Present even in the darkest corners of this institution, hip-hop dancers, modern dancers and ballet dancers amaze bystanders on a daily basis.

Paying tribute to the wild use of the place, the day called “Fous de Danse” (Crazy about dance) offers about ten hours of dance directed by French dancer and choreographer Boris Charmatz who is also the head of the Musée de la Danse in Rennes (Brittany).

For an afternoon and an evening (entirely free of charge), projects are abounding. Here is an insight:

  • Collective warm-up
  • Participative choreographies
  • Giant Soul Train
  • Shows
  • Traditional Dances

With no complex nor barrier, dance has never enjoyed such a freedom of expression.
