L'Heure du bain: concert and reading in an empty swimming pool in the 19th arrondissement

Take advantage of the draining of the Georges Hermant swimming pool to rediscover it for a few hours, animated by an artistic fiber, thanks to two performances between concert and reading, on February 17, 2024.

The Georges Hermant swimming pool doesn't waste any time - even during its annual draining, it welcomes the public! An opportunity to discover your usual swimming area in a different way, thanks to an artist-in-residence program, l'Heure du bain. On February 17, 2024, starting at 4 p.m. in the 19th arrondissement, you'll be able to enjoy a unique show that's part fanfare concert, part immersive reading!

For this first edition, actress and author Zoé Besmond de Senneville and children's, teenagers' and adults' author Coline Pierré take to the water and sit at the bottom of the pool, for a reading that highlights the story of their experience during their writing residency.

Accompanying them, La fanfare détournée and its hundred-strong band offer an astonishing concert, designed to immerse spectators in the calm, tranquillity and soothing atmosphere of an empty swimming pool. An unusual orchestra, with masks and snorkels, in addition to double basses and pianos! It's the perfect way to transform a sports venue into a cultural venue, for just a few hours!
