Just back from vacation and feel like swimming again? Now's the time to wake up. The Centre Aquatique Olympique in Saint-Denis(93) is getting ready to welcome Parisian families with a particularly rich back-to-school program. This major facility, a tangible legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, now offers a variety of activities in an exceptional setting opposite the Stade de France. The CAO is linked to the Stade de France by a pedestrian footbridge spanning the A1, providing easy access to this emblematic new sports facility.
The center's aquatic offer stands out for its diversity and innovative pedagogical approach. Baby swimmers can discover the pleasures of the water from the age of 6 months during sessions supervised by qualified instructors. These special moments reinforce the parent-child bond, while stimulating motor and emotional development. Sessions start on September 27 and take place every Saturday morning at a cost of €20 for two adults and a baby, with a 10-session pass for €180.
A 25-metre learning pool based on a new teaching method called "ludinage" hosts the Académie du Savoir-Nager from age 4 upwards. This innovative approach is based on four fundamental principles: fun, confidence, adaptability and safety. Two packages are available from September 15: Ludinage at €279 per year (one lesson per week) and Ludinage + at €379 per year (one lesson per week plus unlimited access to the Olympic and aqualudic areas).
For adults, the Impulseo program supports learning and progress in swimming through four spheres of exploration: understanding the water, discovering sensations in safety, experiencing the pleasures of gliding and expressing potential.Flex membership at €49 per month includes a weekly session and unlimited access to the areas.
In addition to its Olympic-size pools, the center offers a particularly comprehensive fitness area covering more than 1,000m². Facilities include an ultra-connected cardio-training platform with integrated coaching app, two vast group classrooms offering over 55 hours of classes a week (BodyPump, RPM, HBX Boxing, Hyrox, yoga and pilates), and a cycling studio for RPM sessions or immersive experiences with The Trip™.
This fitness offer, accessible from age 16, reflects a new vision of well-being: connected, hybrid and inclusive. Membership fees are free from August 18 to September 28 for all subscriptions, making it easy to discover this latest-generation equipment.
The Olympic Aquatic Centre is an innovative and exemplary facility in ecological terms, with the use of bio-sourced materials and the installation of photovoltaic panels to ensure its energy self-sufficiency. This "wooden sculpture" opposite the Stade de France perfectly embodies the legacy of the Games for Seine-Saint-Denis.
Open more than 90 hours a week, the CAO will host more than 50 weekly sessions for schoolchildren, baby swimmers and residents of IMEs and EPHADs, testifying to its social and inclusive vocation.
The Centre Aquatique Olympique Métropole du Grand Paris is located at 361 and 363 avenue du Président Wilson in Saint-Denis. A special back-to-school night is organized every Tuesday from September 2 to 30, with the pools open until 9:30pm and the fitness area open until 10:00pm.
The European Heritage Days from September 19 to 21 offer exclusive themed tours to discover this unique facility. For further information, visit cao-metropolegrandparis.fr.
