Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Blue Diamond marks the return to the stage of an interactive mystery inspired by the world of Arthur Conan Doyle. Adapted and directed by Christophe Delort, this production is now on stage at Théâtre Les 3 Clés, following its successful debut in Paris at the Théâtre du Grand Point Virgule.
The production is based on The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle, one of the 56 short stories featuring the legendary British detective. First published in 1892, this particular tale had never been adapted for the stage until now. It takes Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson into the mystery of a stolen diamond of great significance, which occurs in a London hotel room.
The stage world champions a British aesthetic combined with a playful setup. Three actors take on ten roles, guiding audiences through a story driven by humor, , and audience involvement. Spectators are encouraged to support Sherlock Holmes in his reasoning and actively assist in solving the mystery.
This new production continues the story introduced in the Mystery of Boscombe Valley, also adapted and directed by Christophe Delort, which has been captivating audiences for several seasons. It further explores the work of the same creative team, revolving around the iconic figure of Sherlock Holmes, now a lasting staple of interactive theater.
With a running time of around 1 hour and 30 minutes, the show is designed for both young audiences and adults, suitable for those aged 8 and older. Performances take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Children under 4 are not admitted.
Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Blue Diamond is now playing at the Théâtre Les 3 Clés and will continue to run until January 31, 2026.
