Disneyland Paris: Hero Up exhibition at Disney Hotel New York The Art of Marvel

Disneyland Paris celebrates everyday heroes! To mark the first anniversary of the Marvel Avengers Campus, the park invites you to discover the freeexhibition Hero-Up! Reveal the hero in you, online from June 29, 2023 and at Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel from July to the end of September 2023. More specifically, this photo exhibition offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Marvel superheroes through a number of snapshots of people shaking things up on a daily basis, highlighting disability, difference and the fight against violence against women.

In all, Disneyland Paris invited 13 heroic figures to take part in an artistic photo shoot at the heart of the Campus. In collaboration with Disneyland Paris' Couture workshop, these participants imagined their own heroic outfits, tailor-made for this exceptional project. The result of this collaboration is an inspiring and exclusive exhibition, visible first online, then at the Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel for a limited time.

The participants, renowned for their heroic values, strength, courage and generosity, have succeeded in inspiring thousands of people on a daily basis. Among them, Julie Bourges, known under her alias Douze Février, created an outfit with golden fabrics evoking a flamboyant plumage, symbolic of the phoenix. Amandine Buchard, a French Olympic medal-winning judoka, chose an outfit that pays homage to the judogi she wears on the tatami. Lya Bavoil, diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, has become world No. 1 in her discipline and is considered "the strongest woman in the world". She wears an outfit reminiscent of her athletic strength suit. Aseel Al Hamad, the very first woman to drive a Formula 1 car in Saudi Arabia, and a leading figure for women's rights in her country, poses next to theAvengers Deployment Vehicle.

Arthur Baucheron, who highlights his disability on social networks to raise awareness of the cause, chose a sober, elegant suit. A way for him to show that you can do anything, even in a wheelchair. Angelina Kirsch, on the other hand, is a TV presenter and plus-size model who has made a major contribution to the development of the German fashion world. She chose an outfit featuring a variety of exceptional fabrics, marked with golden highlights. Lilia Benchabane, a comedian who pays particular attention to de-dramatizing the view of disability, added a superheroic touch to her outfit with a cape. Gessica Notaro, a symbol of the fight against violence against women in Italy, opted for a bespoke outfit, with gold inserts and red and black hues.

We should also mention the presence of several Cast Members: Stéphane, a Cast Member in the SP2S division (rescue operations department), who was honoured after a life-threatening accident; Vincent, an experienced Attraction Operator at Adventureland, who a few months ago tried to save a life by performing first aid on someone; and finally Emilie and Michel, major players in the Disney VoluntEARS program in 2022, volunteering their time (more than 330 hours) for those who need it most.

Disneyland Paris worked with artistic photographer Julien Benhamou to ensure a dynamic and spectacular rendering. The artistic approach was carefully ensured throughout the project, from the design of the outfits to the selection of locations, and of course, for the composition of the shots. The Hero-Up! Reveal your inner hero is a celebration of courage and inspiration, an invitation to all to reveal their own inner hero at Disneyland Paris. Shall we drop in for a visit, folks?
