What canlove be like in an ultra-technological world? Does digital technology signal the end of human relationships? Not necessarily, according to artists Claire Bardainne and Adrien Mondot. Technology can even make the experience more beautiful and unusual, and bring people closer together...
The two artists unveil"En amour", an immersive, interactive installation to be discovered at the Philharmonie de Paris from February 9 to August 25, 2024. This original and curious work immerses visitors in an installation in perpetual creation: each spectator becomes an actor, and links up with the others in a dreamlike, poetic dance. In this way, everyone contributes to this work of art, which celebrates love in all its forms, both joyful and sad.
Enter this digital space, wander among the images and music, and observe the movements on the floor and walls created by your body; the improvised choreography that takes place in this room. Visitors transform themselves into an original ballet, harmonizing their steps and rhythms with those of their neighbors. Bodies dance and converse without exchanging a word. In this interactive space, ephemeral bonds are forged, but strong in emotion, in sharing... And perhaps even love.
For this sensory experience to work, visitors must take the time to participate, to share a moment with these strangers who surround them. These real, tangible moments become a brief story, a shared memory for all viewers.
In this creative space, the floor and walls act as canvas, and the music allows us to encompass our entire being: Laurent Bardainne joins the two artists to bring this installation to life, with sound creations mixing pop, electronic music and experimental sounds. Voices and instruments respond to each other in this long, intriguing and dreamlike music.
