Art Basel Paris 2026: Contemporary artworks transform Winston Churchill Avenue

Winston Churchill Avenue, which separates the Petit Palais from the Grand Palais, becomes an open-air museum from October 20 to 25, 2026, as part of Art Basel Paris's artistic program. Discover the works selected for this year.

The contemporary art is in the spotlight in Paris this autumn: for the fifth year running, the Art Basel Paris fair brings together artists and galleries from around the world. Set at the Grand Palais from October 23 to 25, 2026, this contemporary art fair is expected to draw once again a large crowd of curious visitors and culture enthusiasts.

But Art Basel Paris goes beyond the Grand Palais’s walls. Art pushes past the monument, taking up residence at several iconic spots across the capital, from the Parvis des Droits de l’Homme to the Palais d’Iéna, the Beaux-Arts de Paris, and the Jardin de la Nouvelle France.

Exhibitions and installations take up residence in these cultural sites, offering visitors a welcome artistic moment. This contemporary art trail begins as soon as you leave the Grand Palais, with an open-air exhibition onavenue Winston Churchill.

The avenue, made exclusively pedestrian for the occasion, will host from October 20 to 25, 2026 nearly ten monumental sculptures and installations by Niki de Saint-Phalle (France), Marcello Maloberti (Italy), Yinka Shonibare (UK), Simone Fattal (Lebanon), Manfred Pernice (Germany), Alicja Kwade (Poland), Carmen Herrera (Cuba) and Keita Miyazaki (Japan).

Surprising and fascinating, these installations are sure to catch your eye. Each sculpture encapsulates the world of its creator, their working techniques and motifs. Whether abstract or figurative, colorful or monochrome, these installations transform the street into a small open-air museum.
