Change of scenery for Street Art Madeleine II. Announced from the crypt of the Church of the Madeleine in the 8th arrondissement, this street art exhibition free relocates and heads to the 14th arrondissement to set up in the former Zara store at Denfert-Rochereau. Rebranded StreetArt Denfert for the occasion, it joins the'Expo des 150 and promises exciting discoveries across three floors, from October 3 to October 25, 2026, i.e. 22 days instead of the planned 10. Hooray!
Remember that in 2024 we discovered the first edition under the vaulted ceilings of La Madeleine, and we still carry the striking contrast in mind: stencils and collages born on the sidewalks, now lined up in a neoclassical crypt. Initiated by Codex Urbanus, the exhibition offered a fine cross-section of the artists featured in his first book. This year, Galerie Roussard and the artist are changing the game and going bigger for the release of the second volume.
Indeed, this second edition marks the release of the new edition of the Pocket-Sized Street Art Atlas of Paris and Its Suburbs, by Codex Urbanus, published by Omniscience. This one-of-a-kind guide works like a naturalist’s guide: it helps us identify the artworks we come across during our walks and the artists behind them.
This expanded edition now features 200 street artists active in Île-de-France, up from 150, with 800 photographs of works, an index, and 432 pocket-sized pages. We recall that the first edition, launched during Street Art Madeleine I, sold 1,000 copies in just four days. The book is available in an exclusive pre-sale on FrenchArtCollection.com starting July 7, 2026, ahead of its bookstore release on October 15, 2026 at a price of 30 euros. It is also sold on site during the exhibition, subject to stock.
On the artist side, the lineup grows by the day and it’s already dizzying. We find Chanoir and his colorful cats, Codex Urbanus and his fantastical bestiary that has been gracing Paris’s walls for more than ten years, Jérôme Mesnager and his man in white, but also Ardif, Brusk, Combo, Jana & JS, FKDL, Eddie Colla, Steeven Salvat, Jérôme Rasto, Mosko, Oak Oak, Petite Poissone, La Dactylo, and Nadège Dauvergne, among more than 100 names shaping the city’s visual landscape.
And because these artists are often discreet, sometimes anonymous, nearly 100 signings punctuate the ten days of the event. A rare opportunity to chat with these creators who mostly work at night, and to walk away with a signed atlas. Behind this event are Sophie and Julien Roussard of the Galerie Roussard, a gallery founded in Montmartre more than seventy years ago, and responsible for the street-art and contemporary festival at La Poste du Louvre.
Admission to the Street Art Denfert exhibition this year is via free online registration and grants access to all installations across three floors. It helps ease crowding, which isn’t bad. If you’ve forgotten to snag your tickets, you can book online on the spot—there may still be places depending on turnout. The venue is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for ticket holders. We’ll send you the link shortly.
We recommend this free exhibition in Paris to both urban-art lovers and curious visitors alike, whether you’re with family or friends, especially since the venue itself is worth the trip. In any case, this is a standout find to add to your fall 2026 itinerary that you’d be wise not to miss.
This free exhibition is a superb chance to dive into the world of the street art and meet urban artists right in the heart of Paris, inside an iconic monument—a cannot-miss discovery.
