Art and nature have always been deeply intertwined. In our modern world, questions of ecology, the environment and safeguarding the planet challenge artists more than ever. In Clichy-la-Garenne, the art center Pavillon Vendôme is welcoming several of these contemporary artists for an unprecedented exhibition exploring the plant world.
From October 14, 2026 to January 9, 2027, the exhibition At the Frontiers of the Imaginary showcases original works that put fauna and flora in the spotlight. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, installations, murals — each in its own way, the seven contemporary artists explore the natural world and its almost endless possibilities.
Visitors are invited to explore seven distinct artistic realms. Climate change, dreamlike or fantastical worlds, the bonds between humans and nature, transformations of the environment, metamorphosis, mutations... These works plunge us into parallel universes, sometimes more beautiful, sometimes more unsettling. Some artists choose to focus on reality, highlighting the beauty of our planet—and its fragility.
With seven different artists to discover, this exhibition at the Pavillon Vendôme invites visitors on an engaging artistic journey, full of surprises. From monumental installations to delicate sculptures, paintings or photographs, the route offers a rich and diverse experience.
Take advantage of this free exhibition at Pavillon Vendôme to explore original contemporary worlds. Please note that booking is mandatory to visit the exhibition.
