Azure, ultramarine, deep blue, indigo, cobalt or pastel... All shades of blue are highlighted at the Galerie du Patrimoine. The Van Cleef & Arpels exhibition space showcases a range of jewelry and watch creations in which blue takes pride of place.
From January 17 to June 30, 2025, the gallery presents Nuances de Bleu by Van Cleef & Arpels, a free exhibition featuring over 60 original historical pieces. These haute joaillerie objects illustrate both the richness of blue and the expertise of Van Cleef & Arpels craftsmen.
The exhibition looks back over 100 years of creation, with iconic pieces from various collections. We admire jewelry and accessories from the 1910s, in the Art Deco style: a taste for the combination of white and blue, the use of sapphires and diamonds, refined and symmetrical designs...
A few decades later, sapphire was still around, but this time it was used in more elaborate, more delicate creations, with elaborately refined mechanisms. After the war, the fashion was for extravagant, more dazzling jewels that were particularly distinguished...
Precious stones, technical know-how and signature designs: these creations offer a glimpse into the history of jewelry fashion, thanks to the collections of Van Cleef & Arpels. To admire perfectly preserved antique pieces, and enjoy a free exhibition based on the collections of a major haute joaillerie brand, run to the Galerie du Patrimoine, Place Vendôme, Paris.
