Marcel Pagnol's works include Manon des sources, César, Fanny, Marius, La Gloire de mon père and Le Château de ma mère, as well as novels that smell of sunshine, Marseille and cicadas. From March 3 to April 1, 2025, the Mairie du 8e is staging a brand-new exhibition dedicated to theFrench writer.
To mark the 130th anniversary of Marcel Pagnol's birth (and the fiftieth anniversary of the author's death), the 8th arrondissement town hall is organizing a unique exhibition featuring personal documents and precious objects that once belonged to the writer.
Nicolas Pagnol, the author's grandson (also president of the Marcel Pagnol endowment fund), will give a talk on Tuesday March 4, at 6pm, as part of the exhibition, followed by the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition is free and open to all, and entrance is at 3, rue de Lisbonne, in the Paris 8th arrondissement town hall.
