Between the constraints of daily life and the hectic pace of the week, it's not always easy to find the time to visit a museum. Yet Paris is full of opportunities for art and heritage lovers who prefer evening visits. At the Palais Galliera, it's Friday night! It was built between 1878 and 1894 by architect Léon Ginain at the request of the Duchess of Galliera, Maria Brignole Sale de Ferrari, who donated it to the City of Paris. Originally designed to house its own collection of works, the building only found its vocation as a fashion museum in 1977, when the costume and accessory collections of the City of Paris were installed on the premises.
Today, the Palais Galliera stands out for the richness of its collections, with around 200,000 pieces spanning the XVIIIᵉ century to the present day - clothing, accessories, photographs, graphic arts - presented through temporary and periodically renewed hangings.

Visit the collections every Friday until 9pm, with last admission at 8pm. Full-price tickets cost €14, with a reduced rate of €12. Admission is free for under-18s. To avoid unpleasant surprises on arrival, the museum recommends reserving your paid admission slot in advance, to guarantee your place.
