Experience history in a new way at Versailles… That’s the promise of Sculpteurs de Rêves, experts in immersive theatre based in Paris. They offer a theatrical guided tour centered around the exhibition dedicated to the Grand Dauphin at the Palace of Versailles. On December 31, 2025, visitors are invited to explore the exhibit alongside characters inspired by the Great Century, who share stories and anecdotes about the daily life of the heir apparent to Louis XIV—a man who never ascended the throne.
Guided tours where actors provide historical context on education, political life, and courtly daily life during the reign of the Sun King's son, helping visitors better understand his role in France’s monarchical history. The goal: make the exhibition content more engaging without altering its scientific accuracy.
These tours are mainly designed for families, children accompanied by adults, and visitors eager to explore the history of Versailles in an engaging and story-driven way. They also cater to audiences less familiar with 17th-century history, thanks to accessible language and personalized guidance to bring the period to life.
To enrich this experience, the interactive space Les Défis du Grand Dauphin is also open to visitors. This area offers playful, hands-on activities that provide an engaging way to explore the themes of the exhibition, using games and participatory setups. It offers a complementary approach that helps deepen understanding of the historical context while encouraging dialogue and involvement, right within the Palace of Versailles.
