Printemps du Dessin 2026: Drawing Performances and Workshop at the City of Architecture

The Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine is one of Paris's overlooked museums. Founded in 2017, the Spring Drawing Festival celebrates contemporary creation and the art of drawing across France from March to June. This major national event transforms workshops, art galleries, monuments, museums, and libraries into vibrant hubs for engaging the public with drawing and showcasing the talents of French artists.

What’s on offer this Spring at the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine’s Drawing Festival:

• Drawing Taiwan
  Artist Residency by Li Chien-Lang
  In conjunction with the Drawing Taiwan residency, Taiwanese architect and artist Li Chien-Lang invites the public to explore, through his drawings, the richness of Taiwan's traditional architecture and his sensitive perspective as a master draftsman of cultural heritage.
  Li Chien-Lang will set up his studio beneath the Cahors dome, within the painting gallery, where he will develop his work throughout the residency. In this exceptional setting, he combines precise craftsmanship, architectural observation, and poetic drawing. Well-known for his deep knowledge of Taiwan's built environment, Li Chien-Lang offers visitors a gradual immersion into the shapes, techniques, and landscapes that define his homeland.
  His residency will feature live drawing performances, workshops connected with the collection, and a illustrated lecture in the auditorium. This private event provides an opportunity for discussion with the artist and a rare chance to observe drawing as a creative, memoral, and transmissive process throughout the residency.
