If you’re a fan of urban exploration, you’ve no doubt heard of Jonk. A photographer specializing in urbex, Jonk opened his very first gallery in Paris in March 2023. Nestled in the 10th arrondissement and dubbed Galerie Nature Forte, this space highlights artists who reveal nature’s power through painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, and illustration.
Since its opening, the exhibitions have come in quick succession, each aiming to showcase the power of nature. After turning the gallery into a giant color palette and, more recently, unveiling the second edition of the installation 'Street Nature Forte', Jonk invites this spring several of his fellow artists to intervene on his photographs.
Entitled "Jonk & Friends", this exhibition offers a chance to view a selection of the photographer's urbex prints and to admire the work of urban artists reinterpreting these iconic images. In total, Jonk has invited 13 of his friends, among them Horss, Mouarf, S4m, Siel, Bault, and Jace, who will also be the focus of a spring show in the 13th arrondissement in an another show to discover there. For "Jonk & Friends", all participants will present works in a single, 60 x 80 cm format.
To admire the result, head to the Nature Forte Gallery from May 7 to June 6, 2026. Note that the gallery is only open from Wednesday to Saturday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. And as always, admission is free!
