From coral reefs to the depths, Planet Ocean: Immersion into the Deep lands at the Atelier des Lumières on October 16, 2026. Based at 38 Rue Saint-Maur in the 11th arrondissement, this production offers 50 minutes of exploration of the world’s oceans.
The route unfolds in seven chapters, from the surface down to the depths. The visuals showcase reefs, polar environments, giant marine life, and abyssal creatures. Under the artistic direction of Jean-Baptiste Hardoin, the experience blends a fresh narrative with set design devoted to the underwater world.
Oceanographers Lisa Brenot and Maé Dany-Fort from Café Némo helped shape the scientific framework of the project. The projections, 3D creations, and narration also highlight the fragility of marine ecosystems and their role in maintaining the balance of the planet.
For kids, an extra space lets them color in marine animals, then scan them so they appear on the Studio walls. This workshop is included with the experience ticket. A tip to extend the outing during the All Saints’ Day holidays.
The exhibition welcomes visitors of all ages, with tickets starting at €11 and free admission for children under 3. Opening times vary by date and are selected when you book. Strollers are not allowed; a baby carrier is recommended for the youngest guests.
The Atelier had already explored this universe in 2023 with a previous exhibition dedicated to the oceans. Planète Océan unveils a new creation for autumn 2026.
