The major Lego exhibition in Villiers-sur-Orge, in Essonne, returns to the Espace Colette for its third edition. Fan-built creations and a giant mosaic to assemble await you on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, 2026.

The Villiers-sur-Orge Lego exhibition returns for its third edition on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, 2026. In this town in Essonne (91), situated on the banks of the Orge about 25 km south of Paris, Espace Colette is transformed for a weekend into a small city of colorful bricks.

On site, 300 m² of Lego creations built entirely by enthusiasts of all ages. The event is organized by the Villiers-sur-Orge Festival Committee, in partnership with the FreeLUG association, and has been held every two years since its first edition in 2022.

What to see at the Lego exhibition in Villiers-sur-Orge?

The concept is simple: impressive structures, original settings and worlds built piece by piece. No large-scale immersive set design like at Paris Expo here, but a more intimate exhibition where visitors lean over each table to spot the minifigure hidden behind a façade or the little detail that brings a smile.

This modest event has a loyal following. Between 2,000 and 3,000 visitors are expected at each edition, and some travel from far away. “People travel 200 km to see this small exhibition,” Mehdi Fernandez, president of the town’s festival committee, told BFM. Proof that a passion for bricks extends well beyond the department’s borders.

How can you take part in the giant mosaic?

Looking is nice, but getting hands-on is even better. Visitors can join a mosaic workshop and contribute to a huge construction measuring two metres wide by one and a half metres high.

The project is moving quickly—very quickly, in fact. According to Mehdi Fernandez, so many people are taking part that the mosaic is rebuilt two or three times over the weekend. If your children dream of adding their brick to the project, don’t worry: they’ll have several chances to join in.

Who benefits from the profits of this Lego exhibition?

This family outing in Essonne also supports a good cause. Proceeds go to André Malraux Elementary School in Villiers-sur-Orge and the FreeLUG association (French Enthusiast Lego User Group), which has brought together hundreds of Lego fans since 2003 and publishes a calendar of Lego exhibitions in France every year.

Elementary school students aren’t just spectators: they take part in an inter-class Lego building competition, with the winners announced during the event. It’s a chance to see the children’s creations displayed alongside those of adult enthusiasts.

Opening hours, admission prices and tickets: how should you plan your visit?

The exhibition opens at Espace Colette, 10 rue des Rios in Villiers-sur-Orge, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is €3 per person and free for children under 5 and pupils at the town’s elementary school. Tickets are available at the venue or through the HelloAsso online ticket office, and a refreshment stand serving snacks lets visitors take a break without leaving the venue. The town’s cultural program can be found on the Villiers-sur-Orge town website.

A word of advice: with several thousand visitors over two days, the aisles can fill up quickly. It’s best to arrive at opening time, especially with very young children, and remind them that the exhibits are for looking at, not touching. Little hands will find plenty to enjoy at the mosaic workshop.

Who is this outing for?

This exhibition appeals as much to families with children as to adults nostalgic for their first boxes—the famous AFOLs (Adult Fans of Lego) who never really put their bricks away. Low prices, a short format and a village fête atmosphere: it’s the perfect way to spend a November weekend without rushing around Paris’s big exhibition venues.
