Nuit des Châteaux 2026: a candlelit evening and an equestrian show at the Château de Dampierre-en-Yvelines

Just like the Nuit des Musées, there is a Nuit des Châteaux. A program to rediscover, by night, the full splendor of France’s architectural and historical heritage. On 16, 17 and 18 October 2026, the event invites you to Paris and the Île-de-France region to rediscover our area's treasures and raise awareness about the preservation of our monuments and castles.

Château Dampierre-en-Yvelines is once again taking part in this family event. Located in the Yvelines region, in the famous Vallée de Chevreuse, it has long been considered the most important château in the Île-de-France region, and has welcomed visiting kings of France including François I, Louis XIV and Louis XV. Its fine classical architecture, dating from the last quarter of the 17th century, was designed by the architect Jules Hardouin Mansart.

So what's in store for the Domaine de Dampierre-en-Yvelines during the Nuit des Châteaux 2026? The estate will throw open its doors on the evenings of Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026, with a spectacular lineup for visitors of all ages!

Night of the Castles at the Dampierre-en-Yvelines Estate:

• Evening lights at Domaine de Dampierre-en-Yvelines
  The Domaine de Dampierre-en-Yvelines opens its doors on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, for Nuit des Châteaux.
  Stroll through the grounds and park as pathways glow with a thousand candles for the occasion. Continuous music and a horse show will enliven the gardens. Children will receive glow bracelets to join the celebration.
  Gourmet food trucks and the Domaine’s Guinguette will be on hand to satisfy your cravings.
  The show starts at 8:00 PM.
