From April 17 to 19, 2026, head to Val-de-Marne for immersive evenings steeped in history, set in the heart of the Château de Grosbois, to mark the Night of the Monuments.

The Nuit des Monuments, a new heritage event in Île-de-France, awaits you from April 17 to 19, 2026 for exceptional evenings, when the general public will have the chance to visit castles, abbeys and other majestic, historic sites in Île-de-France and across metropolitan France. An opportunity to discover these monuments differently, in a mysterious atmosphere, through guided tours and special activations.

In Val-de-Marne, begun in 1597, the Château de Grosbois stands out as an elegant country house at the heart of a vast wooded estate. Transformed and enriched over the course of the 17th century, it has endured through the ages and passed into the hands of prominent families.

In 1805, it enters a new era when Napoleon grants it to his loyal marshal Berthier, who turns it into a vibrant residence, defined by a bustling social life. Today, the château still bears the mark of these centuries of history and offers a unique immersion in a place where the past feels ever-present.
