If you’re wandering around Issy-les-Moulineaux and the Parc départemental de l'Île Saint-Germain, you’ve probably already noticed its distinctive silhouette. The Tour aux Figures by Jean Dubuffet rises in the park, catching the eyes of passersby. It must be said that with its bright colors, its quirky shapes, and the faces that emerge along the black lines, the Tour has plenty to astonish more than a few onlookers.
To get a closer look at this special work and to learn more about its creator, the Tower of Figures invites us to stop by on October 17 and 18, 2026. The monumental sculpture will participate in the new edition of the National Architecture Days.
This annual event spotlights the architectural curiosities of Paris and d'Île-de-France. Monuments, museums, historic buildings or contemporary creations, these Heritage Days invite us to rediscover the region's heritage through guided tours and special activities.
The Tour aux Figures is waiting for us this October weekend with a brand-new lineup. Take a peek at what’s in store and remember to book in advance the activities you’re interested in!
A shared artwork: Daniel Bourgais's piece at the Tour aux Figures
And what if the Tour aux figures could become the starting point for a new collaborative creation?
On the occasion of the National Architecture Days, discover the culmination of Daniel Bourgais's residency, hosted at the Tour aux figures as part of the partnership between the Hauts-de-Seine Department and the Montrouge Salon.
Inspired by the work of Jean Dubuffet and Île Saint-Germain, the artist has developed a project centered on landscape, memory, and the transformation of places, nourished by several workshops conducted with middle school students, families, and people with disabilities.
Saturday, October 17, from 2:30 to 5:00 PM, come and discover his work and the collective piece born from these encounters. Daniel Bourgais will be present to present his approach and to engage with the audience.
