Parc Astérix is decked out in its finest winter finery to welcome Gallic Christmas in the Oise region from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026. This year, the amusement park located in Plailly promises an exceptional edition with brand new features that are sure to dazzle us. On the menu for these Christmas festivities are a covered outdoor ice rink, an expanded Christmas market in the Viking area, the Obelix Slide, and four magical shows that will immerse us in the magic of the holiday season.
This year, the festive atmosphere promises to be truly enchanting with snow-capped menhirs and string lights that will transform the park into a genuine Celtic-style Christmas village. The 2025-2026 edition marks an exciting milestone with the addition of a new outdoor ice rink in the Viking area, near the Goudurix entrance. Yes, a real outdoor ice skating rink, freely accessible for everyone to glide outdoors and have fun. Two skating areas are available: one large rink for the whole family and a smaller one just for kids.
The Christmas market is coming to the Viking area, where a new stage will host Christmas carols. This extension will complement the traditional market located in the Streets of Paris. Between gourmet flavors and handcrafted items, we'll be transported into the festive Gallic universe. We can't wait to meet Asterix, Obelix, and the Gallic Santa Claus as they stroll among the chalets decorated with Christmas trees and glowing baubles. It's the perfect opportunity to find original gifts while sipping mulled wine.
For us thrill seekers, La Glissade d'Obélix will be making a comeback, and we're not complaining. Launched in 2024, this attraction will allow us to hurtle down the slope of Mont Gaulois at full speed on a tube decorated with the colors of the famous character. The experience will take place in the "La Revanche des Pirates" attraction and promises guaranteed fun. Next door, the "Tous en Piste" area will also offer five ice sledding tracks, accessible free of charge. Our advice: head there as soon as the park opens to avoid the afternoon crowds.
Santa's Wonderful Gardens will light up the park with an enchanting and immersive journey through three magical worlds: the Enchanted Forest, the Frozen Valley, and Santa's Village. This illuminated trail will immerse us in a fairy-tale landscape populated by butterflies, gnomes, a unicorn, and giant candy canes. Accessible all day long, this trail will take on an even more magical dimension after dark, creating an enchanted atmosphere to end our day on a high note. We can't wait to take this walk, which will allow us to take some beautiful souvenir photos.
When it comes to shows, Parc Astérix doesn't do things by halves, and we love it. Four shows will punctuate our days. "Qui veut la peau du Père Noël ?" (Who wants to kill Santa Claus?) is an exclusive 25-minute ice show that will take place at the Théâtre de la Joconde. In Santa's toy factory, preparations are well underway, but someone is trying to sabotage the party. We can't wait to be captivated by the skaters who will gracefully thwart this sabotage. "Quel Cirque!" will transport us to the spectacular world of the circus with acrobats, trapeze artists, and high-flying acts that will dazzle us. The musical "C'est du Délire!", performed daily at the Théâtre de Panoramix, will offer a show that is 100% Gallic humor with sets worthy of major productions. Finally, "L'Île aux Vœux," the poetic nighttime show on the lake, will close our day with fireworks and light shows that celebrate friendship through music. It's a program that promises to be a real favorite.
The Gallic Christmas Parade will also make its grand return, with all our favorite characters from the comic book proudly displayed on festive floats. It's a highlight that will take us back to our childhood and enchant young and old alike.
During these 16 days of festivities, we'll be admiring the park's most beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Between the Pirate Tree, the Indian Tree, the Greek Tree, and the Gaulish Tree, each world will have its own carefully decorated tree. We bet our favorite will be the Gallic Tree, true to the spirit of our indomitable people. It's a great opportunity to take a photo break between attractions.
The three hotels at Parc Astérix will also be offering Gallic Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations. The Gauls will be donning their gala attire and serving us until 2 a.m. in a festive atmosphere with a celebratory buffet and entertainment. We already love this option for prolonging the magic until the end of the night. New this year: a New Year's Eve dinner will also be offered at the Cirque restaurant. Prices will range from $49 to $99 for the hotel dinners, and from $69 to $169 for the gala dinner at the Cirque.
Rest assured, all park attractions will remain open during this period (except for the water rides, which are closed in winter). It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy highlights like Toutatis, Thunder 2 Zeus, Cétautomatix, or even the Tour of Numérobis nestled between Christmas festivities. Admittedly, we have a soft spot for Toutatis — that roller coaster that twists our insides every time.
The park is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, except on December 24 and 31, when it closes at 7 p.m. Prices start at €54 per adult and €51 per child when booking at least seven days in advance on the official website. Parking costs €20 on site. Admission is free for children under three, and access to the ice rinks and sledding is also free.
To get to Parc Astérix from Paris, there is a bus that will take you to the amusement park without having to drive, which is a convenient option for avoiding Christmas holiday traffic jams.
In short, if you're looking for a great place to celebrate Christmas with your family in the Oise region, Parc Astérix offers a complete experience that combines holiday magic with thrilling attractions. Let's discover this Gallic Christmas, which promises wonderful winter discoveries just a few kilometers from Paris. We've already picked our dates to go. Don't miss this 2025-2026 edition, which promises to be memorable.
