At Jules and Leonie's Garden
A Tour of the Garden "Chez Jules et Léonie"
The garden of Aunt Léonie and her husband Jules, in the mid-19th century, was extensively redesigned by Charles and Geneviève Geoffroy Dechaume in the 1930s, in an English style. Then, with the collapse of the courtyard’s retaining wall in 1950, an Italian-inspired touch was added by architect Robert Hubrecht, a famed Valmondoisien and longtime protector of the Vexin. It is above all a painter’s garden, with ancient local fruit trees, roses, boxwood and perennials. It covers 1,000 square meters in the heart of the village.

A Tour of the Rectory Orchard
If there’s a magical spot in Valmondois for its charm and serenity, it’s this 2,000-square-metre orchard tucked away in the heart of the village. It houses a flower garden, a greenhouse, a chicken coop, beehives and a honey process. A true educational space, deliberately kept between nature and culture, between wild plants, flowers and titmice…
This year, Valmondois’ school is taking over the site to explore the theme of sight from multiple angles…

Simple and spontaneous
Based in the Oise – Pays de France Regional Natural Park, Karine FALLOT cultivates plants using agroecology and in line with the Natural and Progressive “Perfume, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants” charter. On the occasion of Jardin Rendezvous, she will explain what her craft entails and offer visitors the chance to try a simple, personalized treatment.
It comes naturally to her to respect the plants’ growth cycle, let them flourish, and harvest by hand as the seasons change to maximize their benefits.
Whether fresh or dried, the plants are processed on site into a range of wellbeing products and another line that will tickle your taste buds. The transformation adheres to the standards set by N&P.
Why Nature et Progrès? The label champions a cooperative, community-minded approach aligned with my ethics. It also guarantees a production and processing method free of synthetic chemicals or GMOs, with a commitment to protecting the environment, biodiversity, and soils, while delivering healthy, high-quality products to consumers. N&P also aims to preserve artisanal and traditional know-how; the certification is awarded only to products fully made by member producers. And of course, the products are not tested on animals.
