Let us take you on a journey of discovery through the forest of Fontainebleau on a guided tour that's out of the ordinary, on a loop passing through Montcourt-Fromonville, Grez-sur-Loing and Bourron-Marlotte, in Seine-et-Marne! Depending on the day, you'll climb aboard a carriage (that's what "wagons" are called for travelers; the term "wagon" was only used for cattle and goods) pulled by a historic steam locomotive, since some of them took part in the First World War, diesel locomotives, electric locomotives... This is your chance to discover the great forest of Fontainebleau as you've never seen it before, following the unique tourist railway to admire the forest's lakes, trails and remarkable trees.

After the walk through the forest (approx. 40 minutes), the stationmaster and ticket inspector will accompany you to the locomotive depot, where you'll be given a guided tour of the collection, which is listed as a historical monument, and a chance to see the many vintage locomotives. Trains run from April to the spring vacations, on Saturdays and Sundays, and on some Wednesdays. It's advisable to book in advance by e-mail or telephone.
