Located on the GR75 itinerary - a walking tour of Paris that gives you a whole new perspective on the capital - the Julia Bartet square is on the edge of the 14th arrondissement, in the Porte de Vanves district.
Named in tribute to Jeanne Julie Regnault, known as Julia Bartet, a great actress of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the square highlights this personality who left her mark on the history of the Comédie-Française. Awarded the Légion d'honneur in 1906, Julia Bartet gave her name to this pretty square, inaugurated in 1960.
On site, the first thing you notice is the beautiful children's playground: a large wooden teepee, climbing areas and play areas, all under the watchful eye of adults. Table tennis, picnic tables, apparatus and outdoor table soccer are also available in the square.
Since its redevelopment in 2012, the square has provided a link with the new Anna-Marly garden. Square Julia Bartet is entirely flat, so it's accessible to people with reduced mobility, and is open all year round, 24 hours a day. A lovely walk to discover in the 14th arrondissement!
