The playground at Place Jean Jaurès, Saint-Denis (93)

It's one of the main squares in the town of Saint-Denis, in the Seine-Saint-Denis département, and yet, until March 2025, it wasn't known for being a pleasant town square. Since March 1, 2025, the town hall has inaugurated a brand-new, clean Place Jean Jaurès, but above all, designed with pedestrians in mind.

Adjacent to Saint-DenisTown Hall , just a stone's throw from the Basilica where the Kings and Queens of France are laid to rest, the Place Jean Jaurès now boasts an attractive play area for children aged 6 to 12. Toboggans to slide down, tunnels to explore, nets to climb... The playground is small but effective, making it the perfect place to take a break on Wednesday afternoons or after school.

And if you want to continue the stroll, in just 15 minutes you'll be in the Parc de la Légion d'Honneur, where you'll also find beautiful playgrounds, large lawns and quiet spots for reading on the grass... All in all, a great walk for the whole family in Saint-Denis!
