After six months of renovation, the Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast attraction reopens at Disneyland Paris on December 19, 2025. Closed for renovations in Discoveryland, it welcomes visitors once again, offering a refurbished experience for everyone planning their next visit.

Disneyland Paris is continuing to renovate its attractions to improve the visitor experience. After the extended closure of Big Thunder Mountain (the mine train), now reopened after six months of work, and whileAdventure BayandWorld of Frozen (the Frozen zone)are about to open at Walt Disney Studiosthe futureDisney Adventure World, scheduled to open on March 29, 2026 — another iconic attraction has also been closed for a long period: Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.

Located at the entrance to Discoveryland, just a short walk from Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, the Toy Story-themed attraction is a must-see at the park. Guests embark on an intergalactic mission, aiming laser guns at various targets. However, starting June 23rd, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast closed to the public for extensive renovations and upgrades. The reimagined ride is set to reopen on December 19, 2025.

Eventually, the Space Rangers will return to their favorite attraction in a brand-new setting... Disneyland Paris has detailed the work involved in an official press release. On the agenda is a "major refurbishment, if not a total replacement, essential to ensure the optimal quality of the visitor experience", namely the refurbishment of Star Command, i.e. the attraction's facade "repainted, along with the attraction's sign and its iconic, nearly 2-metre-high Buzz Lightyear statue". "The neon effects of the five towers and radars will also be refurbished, to offer even brighter lighting," the release also explains.

The Astro Lasers will also be overhauled with "the latest technology to defend the toy galaxy against the infamous Emperor Zurg", "completely dismantled and replaced", as will the nacelles, many of which "will be repainted and fitted with new dashboards featuring improved displays".

The lighting inside the attraction will also be reworked "by replacing all the spotlights and refurbishing the lighting effects". Some of the targets will also be replaced by new ones, "with more precise, high-performance technology". Finally, several Audio-Animatronics will also be restored. A good lick of paint is all that's needed for a return to service, hopefully almost as good as new! In the meantime, to make up for these attractions, we're off to Walt Disney Studios to try our hand at Spider-Man WEB Adventure!
