After the Versailles Chantiers station, it’s the Judo Institute in the 14th arrondissement of Paris that will host a massive spelling contest on Monday, December 22, 2025, just before Christmas. Whether you’re a spelling enthusiast or simply want to test your orthography in a relaxed setting, this event is open to everyone and free of charge. Its goal is to raise awareness of the importance of mastering the French language and encouraging reading. But be warned, this time you must reserve your spot in advance, as gifts will be given to participants!
There will only be one exercise session at 1 p.m. this time, as a world record attempt is on the horizon—namely, the world's largest dictation event! After exercising your mind, you can enjoy a large giveaway of gifts, books, and chocolates. There will also be sports activities and demonstrations to get moving, including French Judo sessions to introduce beginners to this sport.
To make this wonderful afternoon of solidarity and community spirit even more special, several notable figures will be in attendance. Among them are Walid Khiar, a French judoka; Fred Musa, the legendary host of Skyrock’s Planet Rap; Audrey Bertheau, a journalist and presenter; and Princess Yasmine Murat.
