Every year, Rendez-vous aux Jardins offers a chance to discover or rediscover the magnificent heritage of French gardens. For this new edition, pencil in the afternoons of June 5–7, 2026! On this occasion, the Château de Breteuil joins the celebration and will host a day of activities to entertain visitors of all ages.
If you still don’t know the Château de Breteuil, tucked away in the Yvelines, now is the perfect moment to take the plunge; and the Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2026 seems to be the ideal event for that!
This historic site, designated as a Monument Historique, is set on a 75-hectare estate overlooking the Chevreuse Valley. Spacious and idyllic, it is bordered by a French formal garden, a labyrinth, and a romantic park. For decades, the château has also been home to wax figures from the Grévin Museum, depicting key moments in French history or scenes from Perrault's fairy tales.
So, are we about to explore what awaits us at the castle and its stunning gardens?
Spanning 75 hectares, the park invites families to make the most of a sunny spring day. A French formal garden, an English landscape garden, a labyrinth, a kids’ play area, and—storybook scenes! Eight sound-and-light productions of Perrault’s tales await visitors of all ages in the castle’s outbuildings.
The gardens are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with last entry at 5:30 p.m.
