Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2024: tours, storytelling and demonstrations at Château de Breteuil (78)

Every year, the Rendez-vous aux Jardins is an opportunity to discover or rediscover the magnificent heritage of French gardens. This year, book your afternoons from May 31 to June 2, 2024! To mark the occasion, the Château de Breteuil is joining in the festivities and organizing a day of events to entertain the curious young and old.

If you've never been to the Château de Breteuil, located in the Yvelines region of France, now is the time to take the plunge, and the Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2024 is the perfect opportunity to do just that!

This listed historic monument is built on a 75-hectare estate overlooking the Chevreuse Valley. Spacious and bucolic, it is surrounded by a formal garden, a labyrinth and a romantic park. For several decades now, the château has also been home to wax figures created by the Musée Grévin, depicting moments from French history or Perrault's fairy tales.

  The Breteuil estate has been a family home since 1610. Take a tour of the château and discover the history of this family, closely linked to that of France. The visit is richly furnished and embellished with wax figures from the Grévin museum.   Floral art demonstration with L'Agapanthe. Bouquet lovers, come and learn how to create beautiful arrangements from 2.30 to 5.30 pm. The famous Thoiry florist "L'agapanthe" will be setting up in the courtyard of the old stables, with armfuls of fresh flowers, to show you his craft and his art.
