La Fête à Neuneu is the back-to-school funfair in the Bois de Boulogne. From August 29 to October 12, 2025, it awaits you for the pleasure of children young and old. For over four decades, at the dawn of each new school year, the Fête à Neuneu has revived the magic of the vacations. A family event par excellence, it's packed with attractions for all ages: from children's rides to bumper cars and traditional duck fishing.
A little history... Initiated by Napoleon's decree in 1815, this funfair was first held in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Quickly dubbed the "Fête à Neuneu" by the locals, it underwent many changes: from horse-drawn rides to the introduction of electric rides in 1900. After many moves, it found its place in the Bois de Boulogne in the early 1980s, resuming its emblematic name.
The Fête à Neuneu is the place to be for thrills and spills! Excitement and fun are the order of the day throughout this festive and convivial event in the Bois de Boulogne. For children, dozens of traditional rides and attractions are offered every year, including mini roller coasters, flying chairs, Ferris wheels... while teenagers can enjoy the thrill rides.
Every weekend, parades of fantastic characters from comic strips and cartoons will fill youngsters with wonder, as will the Cabaret du Mobil Môme, where the children's poet will present a differentfree show every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 4pm and 5:30pm, in his musical travelling caravan.
Count on 3 or 4 euros for the children's rides, 5 or 6 euros for the adult rides and 10 euros for the thrill rides. For opening times, the Fête à Neuneu is open Monday/Tuesday/Thursday from 4pm to 12am, Wednesday from 2pm to 12am, Friday from 4pm to 1am, Saturday from 12pm to 1am and Sunday from 12pm to 12am.
Don 't miss: the inauguration evening on August 29, from 6pm to midnight, in aid of the Coucou Nous Voilou association, in the presence of Arnaud Ducret, the association's patron. That evening, by purchasing a pass (20 euros for adults and 10 euros for children under 12), you will have access to all rides and attractions. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the association, to help improve the daily lives and well-being of sick and hospitalized children and teenagers throughout France.
