Rendez-vous Grand Siècle 2025: costumed event and fireworks at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte

It's a day out of time, a little magic bubble that we like to treat ourselves to every year, thanks to Domaine de Vaux le Vicomte: Saturday, May 31, 2025, it's the Rendez-vous Grand Siècle! Get ready to step back in time to Nicolas Fouquet's 17th-century festivities! On the program for this exceptional Saturday: period costumes, games and a tour of the château.

Welcome to Petit Versailles, the sumptuous palace that inspired the creation of the Sun King's château. We're back in the 17th century for a festive day, where we're encouraged to don our finest period costumes. For one day in May, visitors can pretend to be nobles of the Court, in the magnificent setting of Vaux-le-Vicomte.

A day of Grand Siècle costumes, baroque dances, musketeer shows and horse-drawn carriage rides, for a unique experience of the French art of living at the time of Louis XIV and Nicolas Fouquet.

Children also take part in this festive day, with numerous games on offer in the gardens. Just like the children of the 17th century, your little princes and princesses can have fun admiring the water games in the park's fountains and pools.

Visitors of all ages can enjoy a musketeer show and a baroque dance demonstration. The château also offers horse-drawn carriage rides and a costume parade. At the end of the day, a fireworks display lights up the sky, bringing this magical experience to a close.

Costumes are not compulsory, but they do help to make the day even more magical... Once again this year, admission is by reservation only. Don't forget to reserve your place in advance!
