The Frog & Underground recently opened its doors near the Grands Boulevards in Paris. This 13th location joins the (already) large family of FrogPubs.
It's worth noting that the brand opened its very first pub-restaurant, The Frog & Rosbif, on Rue Saint-Denis 23 years ago.
Since then, FrogPubs has opened many other smaller venues: The Frog at Bercy Village, The Frog & British Library, and Frog Revolution.
Like its big brothers, The Frog & Underground relies on its craft beers to pique curiosity. For 21 years, the brand has been brewing its own beers. Among the most popular are Pearl ( a rather light lager), Ginger Twist, Wham ( awarded at the 2016 World Beer Awards), Hopster, and Paristylic. To meet demand, each floor of The Frog & Underground has its own bar with nine beer taps!
In addition to beer, FrogPubs' success also lies in its food offerings. The Frog & Underground offers two flagship product ranges, including the " American BBQ & Soul Food " concept.
At Sortiraparis.com, we were tempted by the "Crunchy Chicken Tacos" (wheat tortillas with crispy chicken fillet, lime and Sriracha mayonnaise, and coleslaw) and the "Crispy Southern-Fried BBQ Chicken" (Memphis-style crispy chicken, smoked then fried).
Others may prefer the unmissable "BBQ Pork Ribs" (St. Louis-style pork ribs, smoked for three hours).
Note that each dish comes with a choice of twosides: French fries, sweet potato fries, homemade coleslaw, etc.
The other specialty is the " Genuinely Good Burgers," which can be discovered in particular through its FrogBurgers: the "Blue Burger" (beef, Bleu d'Auvergne cheese, iceberg lettuce, onion jam), the "Revolution Burger" (beef, cheddar, smoked pork shoulder, coleslaw, fried onions, aioli, pickle), and the "Veggie Halloumi Burger" (halloumi cheese, red peppers and grilled mushrooms, arugula, pesto mayonnaise).
To make you feel at home, The Frog & Underground covers 3,700 square feet spread over three levels. In terms of decor, The Frog & Underground reveals a blend of old and modern styles that is both harmonious and daring.
An ideal atmosphere to welcome you in different spaces: small and large tables that can seat two to 16 people, a fully equipped meeting room that can be privatized, and a stage and famous dance floor in the basement.
