Kahio Paris: the cafe-florist a stone’s throw from Place des Vosges — permanently closed

In the trendy Marais district, a new gourmet address is on everyone's lips... Kahio, a concept store combining coffee, flowers and decoration, has opened on rue de Turenne, a stone's throw from Place des Vosges. Founded in 2023 by two creative friends, Kahina and Alessio, it has rapidly become the must-visit coffee shop for those addicted to Instagrammable spots.

As soon as you enter, you're immediately seduced by the warm,arty-bohemian atmosphere that reigns in this intimate tea room. The scent of the few flowers adorning the space mingles harmoniously with that of artisanal drinks and freshly baked pastries, to be enjoyed during weekday snacks or lunches.

But what makes Kahio so irresistible is certainly its weekend brunch at just €30! Featuring colorful, aesthetically pleasing and well-balanced dishes, the brunch focuses on seasonal flavors, with a nod to the world of botanicals. On the menu, fresh salads seasoned with edible flowers, toast topped with aromatic herbs and fruit desserts enhanced with botanical spices.

From generous cereal burger buns topped with creamy avocado, scrambled eggs and crunchy black radish, to soft white cheeses sprinkled with granola and fresh fruit - pineapple, coconut, mango or the undeniable red fruits - there's something for everyone. But brunch is all about pancakes! The two recipes on the menu made their way to our table: a choice of poached egg and smoked salmon topped with a velvety hollandaise sauce, or mascarpone cream, chocolate chips and red berries. We've fallen in love with this second version, irresistibly moist and deliciously indulgent.

In this unusual café-florist-deco, you can feast your eyes on the beautifully carved wooden shelves, brimming withdecorative objects straight from Italy. Home fragrances, candlesticks, vases - this is your chance to experience the art of Italian living. The address also offers workshops in floral art, perched in a room upstairs.
