Momus: the new boutique for exceptional, made-to-measure coffees in Paris

Momus is the new Parisian spot that aims to make coffee an exceptional jewel, both to offer and to treat oneself. Located in the heart of Paris, in the 9th arrondissement, this new boutique-café features a wall of coffees for you to smell, a counter for tasting good, real coffee and two bar chairs to relax in while you enjoy your black gold.

This boutique dedicated to made-to-measure coffee aims to revolutionize the world of coffee. The second most consumed beverage in the world, coffee is often abused, usurped and standardized. Lionel Giraud, the company's founder, started from the observation that, unlike in other countries such as Japan, in France, the coffee served at the end of a meal in a restaurant was often uninteresting and yet expensive. Why is coffee, the last experience in a restaurant, overlooked? Why is it so unimportant?

Momus is more than just a boutique; it's a publisher of exceptional coffees. The beans we use come from natural, sustainable agriculture, in contrast to the usual industrial production. Their traceability is guaranteed, countering the usual vagaries of the market. And the taste? Far from the usual charcoal and bitter formatting, an infinite aromatic richness is revealed. And it's Daniela Capuano, the only woman to be awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrière de France en Torréfaction, who keeps a close eye on things.

Daniela Capuano unearths the noblest and most exclusive varieties for us. These come from producers hand-picked for their exacting standards and environmental awareness. With Momus, coffee becomes a perfect moment, to be enjoyed alone or shared.

The on-site coffee menu. You can enjoy espresso or filter coffees from 3€ to 10€ for the Geisha. Note that you can order the iced version, ideal for hot weather, and don't hesitate to try the astonishing Cascara, a caffeinated infusion made from coffee cherry pulp.

As for custom coffees, note that your custom blend will cost you €35 per 200g, whatever your choice and taste. Afterwards, you'll leave with your coffee stamped with your name and registered blinds, so you can order it again if you wish.

Momus is open every day except Monday, from 10am to 7:30pm and until 3pm on Sundays. Enjoy your coffee!
