Looking for an extraordinary night out in Paris this spring 2026? The Gatsby Evenings at the Ritz Paris offer a dramatic escape from the daily grind. Built as a flagship event since their debut late 2025, they return to the heart of the 1st arrondissement for three dates: Thursday, March 5, Thursday, April 9, and Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, in the Salon Vendôme. It’s a chance for the Parisian palace to mark the centenary of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby with a dinner-show steeped in the glamour of the Roaring Twenties.
At 15 Place Vendôme, Fitzgerald’s aura never truly left the velvet-walled halls. The dapper writer was a fixture here, and it’s only fitting that the Ritz Paris pays homage by turning Salon Vendôme into a genuine 1920s stage. A marble staircase leads to this exceptional space, once the late-night rendezvous of the Ritz Club, now reviving the atmosphere of the grand dancing dinners of yesteryear.
We were fortunate to experience the evening from inside, and the immersion is total. The dinner unfolds like a ballet: dozens of waiters swirl through the room, never allowing a single lull. Singers, musicians and dancers glide from table to table, staging little scenes and inviting guests to join the dance floor with infectious cheer. Guests let themselves be carried along without even realizing it.
Ostrich feathers, sequins, champagne and gold-leaf foliage dress the decor in every detail. The soft lighting and a pink hue give the whole a deliberately glam vibe, far from being over the top. It’s cohesive, enveloping, and it really works.
On the dining front, Chef Jérôme Legras serves up a five-course menu, accompanied by a glass of champagne, at 325 euros per person. That price point clearly frames these evenings as an extraordinary experience, justified by the overall quality: service, cuisine, spectacle, ambiance. Nothing is left to chance.
The Jazz & Swing atmosphere comes alive thanks to live musicians, a vocalist, and two professional dancers. It unfolds in a vibrant, participatory vibe—far from mere background music. And if you want to dress the part, note that elegant attire is required for these evenings.
Our take: a welcome interlude for lovers of Paris’s finest addresses, literary history, and live performance. It’s not just another night out; it’s a carefully staged experience, driven by teams that clearly invest themselves. Perfect for celebrating a birthday, a special occasion, or simply seeing Paris from a fresh perspective.
Who it's for: fans of upscale dinner-and-show experiences, couples seeking a memorable night out—romantic or extraordinary—or anyone longing to travel through the decades for one evening. To book, visit the Ritz site.
Two more places to try if the offbeat vibe appeals to you:
To keep the Roaring Twenties vibe alive in Paris, Paris Folies du Dancing de La Coupole hosts monthly dance evenings in the building’s Art Deco basement of the legendary Montparnasse restaurant, with live musicians, tap dancing, and burlesque shows, in a setting that hasn’t changed since 1927. A related spirit, but at a different price tag. And for jazz lovers in a chic environment, Le Melville, a jazz club, bar, and restaurant in the 8th arrondissement, is a great address to keep in mind to keep the Paris swing buzzing.
