Ducasse Baccarat voted the most beautiful restaurant in the world

Opened just over a year ago in the 16th arrondissement, theDucasse Baccarat restaurantwas awarded thePrix Versailles on Thursday, December 4, 2025, receiving the distinction of Most Beautiful Restaurant in the World. This global architecture and design award was presented during a ceremony held atUNESCO headquarters in Paris.

For the past 10 years, the Prix Versailles has included a series of architecture competitions highlighting the best contemporary projects in the world. The jury awards 24 titles of "the most beautiful in the world" in eight categories: museums, emporiums, hotels, restaurants, airports, passenger stations, and sports.

Designed by Aliénor Bechu and her team at Volume ABC, in close collaboration with Alain Ducasse, the restaurant is a captivating cabinet of curiosities. Beneath a ceiling of crystal droplets, specially crafted by the Baccarat artisans and envisioned by Aliénor Bechu, various artists have contributed unique works—including Jean-Guillaume Mathiaut and Pierre-Yves Le Floc’h—turning this space into a vibrant, collective masterpiece.

"Alain Ducasse Baccarat is the meeting point of two renowned houses that embody French culture: culinary excellence and the art of crystal craftsmanship. We aimed to create a unique, timeless space—a place where visitors don’t just come for a meal, but come to experience something special. A venue where history converses with contemporary creativity, and every detail reflects this blend of heritage and innovation. This philosophy culminates in a total artwork where the guiding principle is re-enchantment," explains Aliénor Bechu.
