Another foray into the hotel business for Pharrell Williams! The American music icon and artistic director of Louis Vuitton 's men's collections is donning a new hat with the acquisition of a luxury hotel in the heart of Paris. Nestled in the 1st arrondissement, the establishment is none other than the former Saint-James & Albany, ideally situated between rue de Rivoli and rue du-29 juillet, with the emblematic Tuileries gardens as a backdrop.
In partnership with Mohari Hospitality and Omnam Investment Group, the project aims to transform this historic building, erected in 1751 by architect Michel Tannevot, into a modern luxury hotel hot spot. "We intend to honor the extraordinary romantic heritage of the place while creating a new hotel representing the avant-garde of luxury hospitality," stresses Allen Smith, CEO of Mohari Hospitality.
Not a first for Pharrell! Following the opening of the Goodtime Hotel in Miami in 2021, and a project in the Bahamas, he is now tackling the Parisian scene. While the opening date is still a mystery, the initiative is part of the ambitious development of the joint venture created in 2022 between Mohari and Omnam, with the aim of revitalizing historic venues across Europe.
So, when's the next trendy rendezvous in Paris? Patience, it's coming!
