L'Hôtel Bohem Sacré-Cœur s is now in Montmartre, right beside the Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro station! Nestled at the foot of the hill and part of the Vesper Collection, the property offers 48 rooms, a charming address steeped in memory.
Long closed, this space first operated as a home for workers and creatives in the early 20th century, then as a florist, and it was seen in the film Amélie before becoming a hotel that welcomed artists passing through, until it shut its doors in 2020.
Staying true to the bohemian spirit of Montmartre, this boutique-hotel aims to offer a contemporary interpretation of the artist houses that have shaped the neighborhood’s history, with interiors designed by architect Marie-Agnès Louboutin.
On the ground floor, Halo welcomes day-trippers in a library-like, lived-in atmosphere—a bright, open living space that serves breakfast, a coffee in the afternoon, or a drink in the evening, at the bar set to be opened to guests (soon to welcome outside visitors in a few weeks).
When it comes to the rooms, they are split into four colours (blue, black and gold, beige, or pink) corresponding to four categories, but all carry an Art Déco soul with a plush velvet headboard, geometric motifs, fixtures crafted by a ceramicist, and a tiled bathroom: Cozy, Classic, Deluxe and Prestige.
Note that the first option is reserved for solo guests, the room measuring 11m². Two suites offer romance for travelers passing through: Nid d’amour and Ciel de Paris, which open onto large terraces with views over the Paris rooftops and the Montmartre vineyards.
As for breakfast, priced at 25 euros per person, it’s a fairly steep expense that won't suit travelers watching their morning budget, especially since the area is brimming with authentic artisan bakeries just a few steps away. The upside: you only have to step out of the hotel to catch the metro right opposite—you won’t get quicker than that! And rest assured, it isn’t Montmartre here, so the noise isn’t an issue.
Being in a touristy area, overnight rates can run a bit steep. If you’re on a tighter budget, you could opt for a youth hostel, such as Beau M nearby. And to make sure you don’t miss a thing during your stay in the neighborhood, follow the guide!
