Want to eat on the go without sitting at a table? Are you a fan of Mediterranean flavors? Then let's go to Man'ouché - galette traditionnelle libanaise, a street food restaurant located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, near the Centre Pompidou. The restaurant offers a variety of galettes, chawarmas and pittas, for a culinary journey to the heart of Lebanon.
On the menu, then, are patties cooked on a Saj, a kind of concave or convex frying pan used to cook the dough used to make these delicious takeaway sandwiches, as well as oven-baked pittas, and traditional flavors that are sure to please gourmets and gourmands alike. As for patties, you can opt for zaatar, made with thyme, but also for vegetarian versions, with cheeses(halloum, labné...) or meats(Lahmé, Dejaje...).
Note that everything is homemade, in front of you, for a sandwich made with fresh produce and prepared à la minute. Galettes that the editors were able to try out on a lovely sunny day. And our expectations were more than met! So we opted for something classic, a zaatar, with extra labne... Beyond the delicacy of the flavors, we appreciate the balance between the different ingredients, all adapted to European palates, neither too spicy nor too bland. A wonderful discovery and a know-how that deserves a moment's pause. Shall we go, friends?
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
