Kouki, this is the name of the “fast good” restaurant mixing Japan flavors with delicious Mexican dishes. Tasty poke bowls, as well as revisited Asian tacos and original ramens are on the menu.

Let’s run to Boulevard Haussmann, a stone’s throw from the Paris Opera to discover Kouki, the tasty fast good restaurant mixing Asian flavors and Mexican and Hawaiian specialties. We discover a welcoming canteen providing nice, fresh and delicious dishes, made to order, in a seaside-inspired atmosphere.

At the entrance, we discover the counter where you can choose, and twenty seats you can seat on and enjoy. But that’s not all since a big 18-seat room is also available in the basement.

On the menu then, hearty poke bowls such as the Havana based on white rice, salmon, avocado, edamame, carrot, radish, mango, scallion, plantain chips and leche de tigre dressing.

We start with the revisited tacos that are to die for, the “Kouki Tacos”: Asian flat bread, salmon, avocado, sour onion, carrot, cucumber, red cabbage, corn and cilantro spiced up with teriyaki sauce and sesame oil, we love.

To get out of the poke bowls and because it’s not the season, we go for an original bowl of ramen, a Tom Yum version called Ko Phi Phi mixing coconut milk, red curry, lemongrass and lime. All you need to warm yourself up and try nice mixes.

We also discover the Cancun, an Asian version of the poutine, how intriguing. Picture this: a mix of fries and sweet potato, chicken, sour cream and spicy teriyaki sauce. Add a sprinkle of cilantro and jalapeño, it’s just so good.

We finish on a sweet note with the sweet dishes such as chia seeds and exotic coulis, the homemade “kouki” tiramisu or the soft banana bread or carrot cake.

Note that Kouki is also an exquisite caterer for your parties. The chef provides very original and tasty dishes, we tried and approved!
