It looks like the beginning of a Black Mirror episode. And yet, fiction has met reality. This July 5, 2021, Paris welcomes a new quirky restaurant, Pazzi. This is the first 100% automated restaurant chain. After a first location in Val d’Europe, Parisians and tourists can now discover this futuristic restaurant in the heart of the French capital.
Head by Beaubourg, a stone’s throw from Centre Pompidou to meet the robot pizzaiolo. The world’s first automated restaurant is a pizzeria. In all, fourteen recipes are available. To discover them, place an order from your phone or head to one of the four touch-screen pads expecting you inside the restaurant.
Make your choice, customize pizzas with the garnish you want to add or remove. Once your order is placed, you are given a QR code. Magic happens at the back of the restaurant, and you can admire this astounding culinary dance through a window.

Before your eyes, the robot cooks roll out the dough, spread the sauce before the base moves to the back of the kitchen to add garnishes. Then, they are back to be baked. In all, the process takes 3 minutes per pizza. Once baked, it is placed in a box and pre-cut before being sent to a trapdoor you can open with your QR code. Allow between €7 and €13.60 to taste a pizza made by robots.
Behind this uncommon concept for which 5 patents have been filed, stand two engineers Cyril and Sébastien who came up with this project in partnership with three-time Pizza World Champion Thierry Graffagnino. Their ambition? Opening a place where you can find something to eat at any time and according to your needs.
